If you’re reading this issue, then you—like us—undoubtedly have a penchant for the Western way of life. Over the past eighteen years, we at Treasure State Lifestyles have explored the backroads of Big Sky Country, discovering nuggets of history and culture—incredible stories on a wide array of topics, all tethered to the Treasure State.

In 2023, as we enter our nineteenth year, we are excited to announce a new way to enjoy content for Montanans, by Montanans: the Montana Lifestyles podcast.

“The Montana Lifestyles Podcast is an audio/visual extension of the Treasure State Lifestyles Montana Magazine,” explains Tim Lee, creator and host of the program. “Anyone who loves the articles or the heart of the magazine will find our podcast to be a very exciting fit for them. It’s an additional dimension to the content they read every month. And we hope that this also gives a direct look into the Montana way of life.”

In 2022, Lee approached Treasure State Lifestyles with the idea to collaborate on this podcast. His years as a radio personality make him well-equipped to interview Montana’s colorful characters. His background as a professional artist and staff member of the Great Falls Area Chamber provides him unique insight into the topics he seeks to discuss.

“The magazine highlights some of the major events that happen in Great Falls, like Western Art Week, the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals, the Home and Garden Show, and many others. If you are considering attending one of these events, you can get an inside look before and during the events,” Lee explains.

He clarifies that these podcasts aren’t interviews; they’re conversations. As host, he seeks to connect with guests on a personal level, providing more engaging content for listeners/viewers.

“There is something beautiful about people forgetting they are behind a microphone or in front of a camera, and you feel them just open up like they are sitting in your living room,” says Lee. “The Montana Lifestyles Podcast will be the catalyst to bring this content to you.”

For those unfamiliar with podcasts, there are many different ways to listen—and watch! All podcasts will be available for download to your listening device via Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, the Podbean App, Spotify, Amazon Music/Audible, TuneIn+Alexa, IHeartRadio, PlayerFM, Listen Notes, Samsung, Podchaser, Boomplay, and more. Content will also be available at MontanaLifestylesPodcast.com and on the Treasure State Lifestyles Facebook page.

“We are just getting started, and the future is very bright,” says Lee. “We look forward to bringing you along on the journey with us and adding yet another dimension to the content you already know and love!”
