Situated in the rolling hills of Central Montana along the Milk River, Montana Style Events is a living museum of the Big Sky spirit. Betsi Knight, a “retired” interior designer who stays busier than ever, converted this 40-acre working farm into a premier event center. For Betsi, the project is deeply personal; she is a third generation Montanan who was born and raised in Livingston, with roots tied to a grandmother who ranched in Boulder and has a mountain, Mount Rae, named in her honor. Since moving to Havre in 1985, Betsi has infused the venue with this heritage, from family photos to a striking antique buggy chandelier.
The “Farmer Custom” interior design blends rugged Western authenticity with modern comfort. The main floor features a full kitchen, bath, and a spacious lounge where large windows open to views of grazing cattle and wildlife. The dedicated Event Center accommodates 400 guests or more outdoors, while museum-like settings provide intimate spaces for large parties—a versatile approach refined over nine years in business.
The experience is a sensory journey. Guests can explore organic gardens, berry bushes, and fruit trees, with onsite produce used in the kitchen whenever possible. From a Garden Walk leading to a picturesque wedding gazebo to breathtaking sunsets, the atmosphere is pure Montana. Open year-round, the property features forty free-roaming chickens and two friendly ranch dogs.
The food is as legendary as the landscape, complemented by a full- service bar and custom cocktails. Known for unforgettable dining by reservation, the kitchen specializes in prime rib and fresh dinner rolls. For travelers, the venue offers three B&B room styles and gourmet breakfasts. The calendar stays full with community traditions like the Irish Stew Buffet, Valentine’s Day Dinner, and the After Harvest Jam. Montana Style Events is beautiful, warm, and one-of-a-kind.
