This year the 16th Annual Camp Walleye was renamed the Colten Rohlf Memorial Camp. Colton was a participant in the camp for many years and later became a chaperone. This lifelong fisherman exemplified what our camp was about and he truly loved the sport of fishing and giving back to the camp. Colten unfortunately passed away in a tragic car accident on March 25, 2016.
Camp provided 40 awesome kids (and chaperones) with lots of sun, and as always, our boat captains gave the kids a great weekend of catching a variety of fish and experiences with our pros. Camp Walleye is a partnership between the Great Falls, Havre, and Kalispell Chapters of Walleyes Unlimited along with the Montana Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited, MFWP, and over 30 other sponsors. We are extremely blessed and thankful as this camp could not go on without the many volunteers who donate their weekend to assist as well. Special thanks this year go out to RU’s Tiber Marina who stepped in and catered all the meals. We love our red spoons volunteers who served the meals and organized with the Marina. We also would like to thank Bim Johnson, Dick Headly, and Alex Ferguson who have led some of the major areas of camp organization as well.
