Set to be a centerpiece of Western Art Week in Great Falls in March 2025 is the 38th annual March in Montana dealer art show and auction. With over 750 lots, it will be an unforgettable celebration of Western and Native American art, artifacts, and culture.
This year’s event will feature a spectacular lineup of works by legendary Western artist, Charles M. Russell which will include two exceptional watercolors of Native American portraits, one depicting the iconic Chief Joseph. Also showcased are a beautifully detailed watercolor of whitetail deer and an early depiction of a rodeo in the Judith Basin.
These masterpieces are sure to draw significant attention from collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Every year, the show proudly features other Montana artists and this year is no exception. A remarkable piece by Great Falls’ own Olaf C. Seltzer leads the charge, with additional works by favorites such as Ace Powell, James Ralston, William Standing, and many others.
Once again, March in Montana will present an extraordinary collection of Alaskan art. Highlights include one of the finest Sydney Laurence paintings to come to market, alongside works by Theodore Richardson and Eustace Ziegler—a lineup guaranteed to inspire competitive bidding.
Collectors of fine bronzes will be thrilled with over 100 exceptional offerings this year. Highlights include stunning works by Montana’s own Bob Scriver and Earle Heikka, as well as notable pieces by Grant Speed, Dave McGary, and Lorenzo Ghiglieri. The variety ensures something for every taste.
Rounding out the sale among the Native American artifacts and collectibles are over sixty exquisite Navajo weavings, a selection of collectible firearms (including a beautifully engraved Henry rifle), and an impressive array of Native American artifacts from two newly acquired collections.
When you visit the March in Montana show and sale, you’ll find an unparalleled gathering of the finest dealers and galleries in the business, all in one convenient location at the Great Falls Elks Club. This is your chance to immerse yourself in the rich heritage of Western and Native American art, meet fellow collectors, and bid on truly extraordinary pieces.
