If you’re looking for a historic adventure along Montana’s Hi-Line, look no further than Scobey’s Pioneer Town and Daniels County Museum. This 20-acre museum/town is comprised of 35 antique buildings along with cars, farm equipment, and other items that have been gathered from around Daniels County and restored to preserve the legacy of the area. Though it is not a true ghost town, Pioneer Town does serve as an accurate representation of Montana life in the 1900s.

Like a giant history exhibit, Pioneer Town is a fun and impactful way to experience Daniels County’s past beyond books and photographs.

Due to its significance, Scobey keeps Pioneer Town well-maintained so that visitors can appreciate it for years to come. They also host Pioneer Days – an old- timey, family-friendly event – on the last weekend of June each year to celebrate the area’s origins.

Visitors are encouraged to swing by and see Pioneer Town and Daniels County Museum 12:30- 4:30pm, any day of the week between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It is located seven blocks west of Scobey’s Main Street. For more information, call 406-487-5965 or 406-487-2061.
